In this book, a half-mermaid and half human girl named Thora travels to London with her mother, Halla, and her "Guardian Angel," Mr. Walters after being at sea for ten years. Their pet peacock, Cosmo, and their rare and precious sea unicorn named " Shirley" are also on board. It doesn't take long for things to get bad. Mr. Walters get sick and their boat is stolen.
